Privacy Policy

Doctor On Call (EMR)

Effective date: 2026-05-10

This page explains what data the app may access and how it is used. This is a general policy template and should be reviewed by your legal/compliance team before production release.

What we collect

Location data

If you grant permission, we use your location to show nearby hospitals and estimate distances. Location is used while you use the app and is not required to use other features.

Camera, photos, microphone, and speech recognition

The app may request access to the camera/photo library to attach images to medical records and triage notes. It may request microphone and speech recognition access for dictation when writing notes.

How we use your information

AI assistant (third-party AI processing)

Optional AI features send health-related text you enter to Innovator Generation at https://api.docsoncalls.com/api/medical-records/ai-assist/, where Ollama (open-source LLM on our servers) generates a reply. The app asks for your permission before any data is sent. We do not sell your data or send it to consumer AI chatbots for advertising or training.

Data sent may include: typed or dictated symptoms, questions, notes, SOAP drafts, and record excerpts you select.

Uses: general information and documentation help only—not diagnosis or emergency care.

Your choices: decline in the consent dialog, or revoke later in app Settings → AI data sharing.

We apply HTTPS, access controls, and the same privacy protections described here to AI processing on our infrastructure.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Data may be shared with healthcare providers you interact with in the app, service providers that host our API (including AI on our servers), and authorities when required by law.

Data retention

We retain data as needed to operate the service and comply with applicable laws. You may request deletion of your account and associated data where legally permitted.
